"I am a representational painter. I paint what I love—whether it’s a timber wolf, a sassy crow, weathered boats of every kind, the beaches of Whidbey Island, or my granddaughters. Watercolor on paper has always been my preferred medium, but I’ve recently begun working with the medium on primed canvas and panel. Wildlife's ability to source all its needs from nearby surroundings also inspires me to forage for the needles I weave with.
