Tomorrow I am having Robot Assisted Laparoscopic Hernia Repair Inguinal Bilateral with Mesh surgery. Whew! That's a mouth full of text description. From what I understand, most men over 50 will end up needing this surgery at some time in their life. It's quite common.
In the area where I live, there's a hernia clinic with a surgeon who has been repairing hernias of all kinds since 1999. His name is Doctor Timothy Bowers, and he will be performing the surgery tomorrow. I'm a bit apprehensive right now because I am 78 years old and have never had surgery in my life where they have to put you under with anesthesia. I've had 8 skin cancer surgeries, but they only require a local anesthetic. Fingers crossed on this surgery. If it goes well, I will probably have knee replacement surgery in my right knee next year.
