This past month, two of my favorite days of the camp "off-season" happened back-to-back: Giving Tuesday and the arrival of Summer 2026 Brochures. Giving Tuesday is an incredible day of community support, and I'm deeply grateful that so many stepped up to ensure that the courtyard and dining hall porch areas will be a place of gathering for generations to come. As that day progresses, it's always fun to watch names of donors come in and connect with folks as we share stories of our love of camp. The arrival of printed summer brochures is also a great joy because it's both the culmination of many hours of preparation by the BCC team and a glimpse into what's ahead. Even though I've looked at every picture and paragraph on a computer screen for weeks during the design phase, finally seeing the familiar faces of campers and summer staff brings back floods of memories and so much excitement for what's to come in just a few short months.
In this season of celebration, togetherness, and trying to figure out how to just squeeze one more thing in, I am grateful you're taking this time to spend a little time with BCC.
