Dear Affinity Ranch Family,
Summer has officially arrived at Affinity Ranch! As we turn the page on a busy spring season, I hope you are finding opportunities to slow down, enjoy the sunshine, and spend time with those who matter most.
May brought its share of challenges, including several horse injuries and an unexpected water system crisis. While those moments can be stressful, they also remind me just how fortunate we are to be surrounded by an incredible community. I am especially grateful for the dedicated supporters who stepped in without hesitation, bringing their time, expertise, and helping hands when we needed them most. Their generosity and commitment continue to make an immeasurable difference. Simply put, Affinity Ranch would not be what it is today without people like them.
Despite the challenges, there is so much to celebrate. Our summer session is now underway, and we are thrilled to welcome new participants into our Adaptive Horsemanship program and upcoming speech groups. One of the greatest joys of this work is calling families who have waited patiently for an opening and hearing the excitement in their voices when we can finally say, “We have a spot for you.”
We also had a wonderful time participating in the Independence Summerfest, where we introduced community members to our mission—and, of course, our lovable goats! Events like these allow us to share the life-changing impact of our programs and connect with new friends who may become volunteers, donors, sponsors, or advocates for our mission.
As we look ahead, excitement is building for our Ponies with Purpose Gala on September 10. We are currently seeking sponsors, auction donations, and guests to help make this our most impactful event yet. If you have an item, experience, vacation property, airline miles, or other unique opportunity you would be willing to donate, we would love to hear from you. Every contribution helps us continue providing transformative services to the individuals and families we serve.
We are also preparing to welcome several corporate volunteer groups this summer. These teams will leave a lasting impact on our campus while experiencing firsthand the power of service and connection. If your company is interested in organizing a volunteer day, we would be delighted to connect.
