Dear <<First Name>>,

The end of summer is coming fast, and kids are heading back to school! We hope everyone had a wonderful summer.

We held our Annual Membership Picnic on August 17th. We had 28 attendees with lots of food and fun. Thank you Paul and Don for doing the grilling.

There will be wood cutting and splitting days in September as days cool down. For splitting, you need to have protective eye wear, and hearing protection, along with gloves. For cutting; you will need to have the DNR Saw Cutting certification along with hearing and eye protection. For either of these you can text or call me at +16087208730. Please include days available and what you are looking to help with!

We have Fall Festival coming up on October 18th starting at 10:00 till 2:00 so come one come all!! Events include archery, leaf rubbings, compass skills, pond study, fishing/casting, hayrides, wood wood cutting, face painting, fur and skull identification, fire starting, etc.

There will also be a merchandise sales tent, food, and craft tables.
Volunteers are welcome and appreciated. Please email to MCeventvolunteers@gmail.com.

All the best,
Carl Bujanowski, President

As for donation items, we are looking for places or individuals that would be willing to donate straw bales, crafting items, pumpkin decorated leaf bags, gourds, soybeans, feed corn, candy, baked goods, and/or corn stalks. If you have any of these items, please email MCeventvolunteers@gmail.com to set up a time to drop them off. Drop off days closer to the event would work better but please let us know if you have the items as early as possible!

This event takes hundreds of volunteers to make it successful, so please feel free to forward this newsletter to other friends, family members, and co-workers who might be interested in volunteering. We rely on word of mouth to help recruit volunteers.

More information on the website.
September is...

A September fact is that the month is generally considered one of the best for a visit, offering a pleasant blend of warm days and cool evenings, ideal for outdoor activities and the start of fall color, while also being a busy time for sports fans due to the Brewers, Packers, and Badgers being in season. Historically, September has also been the month for the founding of institutions like TFD Supplies and the Green Bay Packers's first game at Lambeau Field, though it was also the month of the devastating Peshtigo Fire in 1869.
