This month I want to remind you about a market you may have forgotten about. Multigenerational travel used to be a BIG buzzword. I don’t see it thrown around as much anymore, but I can assure you that it is happening in a big way right now and if you aren’t marketing to that group you are missing out on many sales. I know this for a couple of reasons. First, I stayed in a hotel in Seattle for an extended period and saw firsthand families with at least three generations traveling together with one or two using a mobility device or oxygen equipment.

Additionally, we have customers tell us how grateful they are to have the ability to take their entire family on a trip with them. You heard that right. One person who is renting a scooter has booked and paid for 30+ additional people on their trip. So, while we have only made one rental, we have given the Travel Advisor the ability to book 30+ passengers on that trip. You’re welcome…

I mention multigenerational travel because I don’t think people realize how big an opportunity it is. My example above is not an isolated incident. As the population ages there are more people who have both the time and the means to travel. When the kids and grandkids are on any kind of holiday break everyone has the time but the older generation has the means to make it happen. Our equipment makes the trip possible and enjoyable for the one who is paying for everyone else. Answer that person’s questions and satisfy their needs and you have an amazing group opportunity in your hands. So, get certified with the SNG CATA program, utilize our resources, and start making more money.
