Hello friends,
October is an official month for many important causes and for some of my favorite foods too. The two causes that resonate the most with me are National Disability Employment Awareness and Breast Cancer Awareness Month. As you may already know, I serve on the Board of Directors for Arc Broward. SNG employs graduates of their program and also sponsor various charity events to help increase awareness. Below are some pictures from the recent InspHired Luncheon. If you are interested in finding out how you can support the organization and get involved, please reach out to me and I will be happy to assist you. For Breast Cancer Awareness, you will see a friend and fellow board member of Arc Broward wearing a pink jacket. He sells sponsorships on his jacket and donates all the proceeds for breast cancer. You can see that he drew our logo, showing our sponsorship. By wearing the jacket through the entire month of October, he both increases awareness and raises funds to support the cause.
October is also National Pizza and National Dessert Months. I will be sure to celebrate both! LOL Funny side note, my son asked me what my favorite type of pie is. I told him pizza. LOL His is pumpkin.
