Dear <<First Name>>,
However, as it is written:
“What no eye has seen,
what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”—
the things God has prepared for those who love him—
these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.
The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.
1 Corinthians 2:9-10 (NKJV)
In the midst of all the preparations, excitement and last-minute planning for our upcoming gathering of European Christian lawyers, which is now only 28 days away, it is important to remind ourselves of its purpose.
We long to see God's kingdom established across our various legal jurisdictions all over Europe. During our time together, it is our prayer that God will reveal by his Spirit his purposes and plans, and that we will be equipped with renewed strength and skills to become change agents in our various countries.
In light of this, let us remember to pray for
Hearts ready to receive from God;
The planning and implementation team;
The speakers and workshop facilitators;
The venue and its staff;
All countries in Europe;
Travel mercies;
God's favour on visa applications;
Any other matters the Lord puts on our hearts to pray for
The team are praying for each of you as you prepare for this time together. If there are specific things we can be praying for, please do let us know.
A Few Things to Note
The Oak Tree Fun Games
We will be participating in some fun games/tasks during our time together, and we will love for many of us to take part. This is to help foster connections and build friendships.
To start, we will begin with the language challenge. As of today, there are 28 countries represented among the delegates. The challenge is to learn how to greet someone in another European language (English and German languages are excluded in this challenge although you are still encouraged to learn both!).
Here is a taster of how to say “God bless you” in the following languages:
Italian - Dio vi benedica
French - que Dieu te bénisse
Spanish - Dios lo bendiga
Polish - Niech Bóg cię błogosławi
Slovak - Nech ťa Boh požehná
Czech - Nech tě Bůh požehná
We think about Pentecost when all who were gathered in Jerusalem could hear the gospel in their language. It is a joy to see that this will be happening in a few weeks when we are all together in Campus Horn.
We look forward to hearing us all worshipping our God in our various languages and being able to catch a glimpse of how it will be in heaven.
Many blessings,
The Planning Team (The Lawyers’ Christian Fellowship UK, Christ und Jurist Germany and Christ und Jurist Austria.
P. S. The only tickets available now do not include accommodation, but we would love to have you join us. Please contact us if you need help with finding accommodation close to Campus Horn.
