As usual, our first priority is to thank the appreciative people who have donated to the Historic Vehicles website. HV does have some advertising support, but we are indebted also to each donor, for helping keep the website content growing every month.

In our News section we reported on some of the highlights of the forthcoming Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance; noted the All Historic Racing's 50th anniversary event in NSW and Vespa's 80th anniversary event in Rome. We also traced Kenworth's model history Down Under, following production of its 90,000th Aussie KW and did a  review of Greg Stanley's excellent book, The Enthusiast's Guide to Collector Cars.

In Car Features  our NSW Central Coast team members photographed the Euro Motorfest car show in Newcastle and we recorded the difficulty in identifying wrecks in the bush.

To Car Brands we added Steyr-Daimler-Puch and to Truck Brands we added Steyr and Lancia trucks.

In Truck Features  we covered the Diesel vs Akroyd Stuart controversy that raises its head periodically and recorded the development of the Club of Four medium truck cab in the 1970s.

We've been posting some more of our very high-quality,  Historic Vehicles caps to Australian website donors. We're keeping these caps exclusive by giving them only to people who donate A$60 or more to the Historic Vehicles website. (Overseas donors can receive caps, but need to pay postage.)

While the northern hemisphere bakes in record heat it's mid-winter Down Under, so there are notably fewer top-down convertibles on the scenic Southern Highlands roads where we live. Also, our old Honda motorcycle sits quietly in the garage on its trickle charger, awaiting the first signs of spring...
