Not Just Another Network Switch
There are plenty of Ethernet switches and transmission products on the market. AMG's story is not simply that it makes another one. The difference is the combination of industrial-grade hardware, security-specific capabilities, mainstream distribution and a team that knows this product category from the inside out. AMG was established in 1993 and has a long history in fiber, Ethernet and network transmission. Its current leadership and North American sales team include industry veterans who helped build and grow one of the best-known transmission brands in the security market. That experience now sits behind AMG - from product development and application support to helping integrators design the right network.
A Real Genetec Differentiator AMG's certified Network Device Management integration brings supported AMG510 commercial and AMG570 industrial managed switches directly into Genetec Security Center as native entities. ▪ See switch and port status directly inside Security Center. ▪ Monitor PoE, switch statistics, ARP cache and MAC tables. ▪ Receive real-time alerts for network and port events. ▪ Control switch ports and PoE from the Genetec interface. ▪ Remotely power-cycle an unresponsive camera or edge device - without a truck roll. ▪ Use Genetec automation rules with AMG570 contact closures and port controls. For enterprise security, campuses, transportation and critical infrastructure, the network becomes part of the security-management environment instead of a separate box that someone has to troubleshoot independently.
Where AMG Fits ▪ Video surveillance and access control ▪ Commercial security systems ▪ Intelligent transportation and traffic ▪ Utilities and critical infrastructure ▪ Industrial / factory automation ▪ Government and high-security applications ▪ Campus, multi-building and remote-site networks

Why Choose AMG? If you're comparing AMG with the familiar specialty transmission brands - or with lower-cost general-purpose networking - the value is not one single feature. It is the complete package. ▪ Security-focused product depth. Commercial and industrial managed/unmanaged switches, PoE, media converters, fiber, SFPs, Ethernet extenders and wireless solutions. ▪ Industrial options. Wide-temperature products are built for demanding outdoor and infrastructure environments, not just climate-controlled IT closets. ▪ High-power PoE. Product options support 30W, 60W and 90W PoE for cameras and other higher-power edge devices. ▪ Design and technical help. AMG provides application design assistance, technical support and remote assistance when the project gets complicated. ▪ Lifetime warranty. AMG backs its industrial product line with a lifetime warranty. ▪ Cost-effective positioning. AMG describes its portfolio as cost-effective, giving dealers a strong alternative without having to move down to commodity-grade networking. ▪ People who know the market. The team behind AMG has decades of experience in security, ITS and infrastructure transmission.
AMG for the Everyday Project AMG does not have to be saved for a giant fiber ring or transportation project. Several product categories can become regular run-rate items: ▪ PoE switches - managed and unmanaged options for cameras, access control, intercoms and other IP devices. ▪ Media converters - an easy answer when a copper connection needs to become fiber between buildings, gates, parking areas or remote devices. ▪ Ethernet / PoE extenders - extend network connectivity beyond the standard 100-meter copper limit. ▪ Industrial edge switches - compact DIN-rail / wall-mount solutions for cabinets, gates and harsh environments. ▪ SFPs and fiber connectivity - multimode, singlemode and multiple distance/speed options for everyday fiber designs.
Available Where You Already Buy AMG is available through major U.S. distribution and buying-group channels: ▪ ADI Global Distribution ▪ Wesco ▪ Accu-Tech ▪ Graybar
▪ ScanSource
▪ PSA
▪ XpressConnect
That means dealers can add AMG to a project without creating an entirely new purchasing path.
The Bottom Line
AMG gives integrators a serious alternative to both commodity networking and traditional specialty transmission products - with experienced people behind it, commercial and industrial choices, strong PoE and fiber capabilities, a lifetime warranty on industrial products, mainstream distribution and a certified Genetec integration that can reduce troubleshooting time and service calls.

DATA CENTERS: They're here. And they need protecting.
No matter how you personally feel about data centers, they are here to stay - and they need protecting.
Data centers have become one of the fastest-growing segments of the security market. Driven by AI, cloud computing and our seemingly endless appetite for data, new facilities are being built at a remarkable pace. In fact, North American data-center construction increased nearly 25% in the first half of 2026, while demand reached an all-time high. But behind all of the conversation about AI, power consumption, water usage and where these facilities should be built is something much more familiar to our industry:
These are buildings - often enormous, mission-critical buildings - filled with valuable equipment, sensitive information and people who need to be protected.
More Than Cameras at the Door Securing a data center is very different from securing a typical commercial building. Protection can begin well before anyone reaches the building itself and continue through multiple layers: ▪ The Property Perimeter
Fences, gates, vehicle entrances and the surrounding property can provide the first opportunity to detect and delay an unauthorized person. ▪ The Building Perimeter Video surveillance, intrusion detection and controlled entrances help establish the next security layer. ▪ People & Identity Employees, contractors, vendors and visitors may all require different levels of access - and knowing exactly who entered, where they went and when they left can be critical. ▪ Restricted Areas Access becomes progressively more controlled as someone moves deeper into the facility, from common spaces to data halls and other sensitive areas. ▪ Critical Equipment Servers, network infrastructure, power systems, cooling equipment and other mission-critical assets may require their own layers of protection and monitoring.
Security Has to Be Designed In One of the biggest lessons emerging from this rapidly growing market is that physical security can't simply be added at the end of the project. Data centers are often constructed in phases, expanded while portions of the facility are already operating and populated by constantly changing groups of contractors, employees and vendors. That makes early planning, integration and the ability for different security systems to work together especially important. For integrators, it also means understanding the customer's operations may be just as important as understanding the technology.
A Growing Opportunity for Our Industry The global market for data-center physical security is projected to grow at roughly 15% annually through 2033. And security integrators are already noticing. In SDM's 2026 Top Systems Integrator Report, data centers were repeatedly identified as one of the industry's strongest vertical-market opportunities.
The opportunity extends across virtually every part of physical security: perimeter protection, video surveillance, analytics, access control, identity management, intrusion detection, network infrastructure, environmental monitoring and the integration that brings all of those systems together.
The Bottom Line Whether you love them, hate them or haven't given them much thought, data centers represent a rapidly growing new class of critical infrastructure - and protecting them is becoming a significant opportunity for the security industry.
Several Repworks manufacturers provide solutions for data-center and critical-infrastructure applications. Contact us if you're working on a project.

LUMINYS TECHNOLOGY LOW-LIGHT VIDEO + FASTER FORENSIC SEARCH
See More at Night. Find What Matters Faster. Two Luminys technologies solve two very different video challenges: capturing usable color in near-dark conditions and finding the right person or vehicle after an incident.
LumiNightKing Full Color in Near-Dark Conditions LumiNightKing is designed for applications where traditional infrared or visible white light is not always the right answer. It combines a large-pixel sensor, AI image signal processing and an F1.0 large-aperture lens to capture full-color video in near-dark conditions when some ambient light is present.
Two Ways to Use It ▪ Covert monitoring — capture color without IR or white-light LEDs, helping preserve the natural appearance of the scene. ▪ Deterrent monitoring — use dusk-to-dawn white-light LEDs when a visible security presence is preferred.
Where It Fits ▪ High-security and critical-infrastructure sites ▪ Car dealerships and construction sites ▪ Theaters, clubs and other environments where visible illumination can be distracting
▪ Outdoor and sensitive environments where discreet monitoring matters
Available Models The current LumiNightKing lineup includes: ▪ N4B-4VA2 — 4MP Network LumiNightKing Bullet Camera ▪ N4T-4VA2 — 4MP Network LumiNightKing Turret Camera ▪ N4B-8VA2 — 8MP Network LumiNightKing Bullet Camera ▪ N4T-8VA2 — 8MP Network LumiNightKing Turret Camera ▪ P32-4NA16D — 4MP LumiNightKing Network PT Camera
LumiSearch Stop Scrubbing Through Hours of Video LumiSearch is designed to make recorded-video investigations faster. Start with a reference image and the system searches compatible recorded video to find where that target appeared.
What Makes It Useful ▪ Search for a target using a reference image. ▪ Search across multiple compatible cameras connected to the same NVR. ▪ Use intrusion or line-crossing criteria to narrow the search area. ▪ LumiSearch+ adds attribute-based searching and movement-path visualization across compatible camera feeds. ▪ LumiSearch VMS extends searching across multiple locations through LumiCenter Max.
Privacy Without Facial Recognition LumiSearch does not use facial recognition, does not require pre-registration and does not collect personally identifiable information. Matching is based on characteristics such as body shape; LumiSearch+ can also use metadata and attributes such as color.
Licensing
LumiSearch and LumiSearch+ do not require an additional license when used on supported Luminys NVRs and cameras. LumiSearch VMS is included as a feature of LumiCenter Max VMS and requires a LumiCenter Max software license, sold separately.
LumiNightKing gives you another answer to the low-light conversation, while LumiSearch gives customers a practical way to reduce the time spent reviewing recorded video. One helps improve what the camera captures. The other helps users get more value from what has already been recorded.
The Bottom Line
Luminys is building technology around both sides of the video equation: better images when conditions are difficult and faster ways to find the evidence that matters. If you have a project with challenging nighttime conditions or a customer who spends too much time searching recorded video, these are two technologies worth a closer look.

SPECIALTY & EMERGING SOLUTIONS Expand What You Can Offer Your Customers
Looking for a new way to differentiate your offering or solve a project that doesn’t fit the usual box?
Repworks represents select specialty technologies that complement traditional security, AV, IT and low-voltage systems — giving integrators new solutions to bring to existing customers and new opportunities to grow their business.
This week, we're introducing three of our newest lines — each one expands what you can bring to the table.
CONNECTIX CABLING SYSTEMS Everything behind the network matters, too. Connectix gives security, AV and IT integrators the ability to expand beyond the device level and support the complete infrastructure behind their systems. The portfolio includes: ▪ Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6A copper cabling systems ▪ Singlemode and multimode fiber ▪ Structured cabling ▪ Pre-terminated fiber and MPO systems ▪ Passive Optical LAN ▪ Fiber panels, enclosures and connectivity ▪ Media conversion and SFP modules ▪ Data and server racks and cabinets ▪ Patch panels, outlets and patch cords ▪ Cable management and network infrastructure That makes Connectix applicable across data centers, education, healthcare, retail, commercial facilities and other networked environments. For integrators already installing the cameras, access control, AV or other IP devices, Connectix creates an opportunity to provide more of what connects everything together.
PHANTOM FOG TECHNOLOGIES When detecting the break-in isn't enough. Most security systems are designed to detect, record and report an intrusion. Phantom Fog adds something different: an active response. Phantom Fog rapidly creates a dense fog that removes visibility and disrupts a theft while it is happening. Designed to integrate with existing alarm systems or operate independently, it gives security integrators a very different answer to the question: “The alarm goes off — but what stops them before the police get there?” Where does it fit? ▪ High-value commercial spaces ▪ Warehouses and stock rooms ▪ Jewelry and premium retail ▪ Auto dealerships and vehicle storage ▪ Cannabis facilities ▪ Premium residential applications ▪ Other intrusion-sensitive environments For customers who need more than detection alone, Phantom Fog adds another layer to the traditional intrusion and video security system.
SQUARE MILE SYSTEMS Do you actually know what is connected to what? As IT environments become more complicated, accurately documenting and understanding the infrastructure behind them becomes increasingly difficult — and increasingly important. Square Mile Systems develops AssetGen, a suite of software tools for documenting, mapping, designing and managing physical IT infrastructure including networks, racks, cabling, buildings and data centers. AssetGen can help organizations understand: ▪ What equipment they have ▪ Where it is located ▪ How it is connected ▪ Cabling and network architecture ▪ Available capacity ▪ What may be affected by a change ▪ How the infrastructure evolves over time The platform is particularly relevant for integrators, consultants, engineers and enterprise infrastructure teams that need accurate documentation, Visio-based system designs, cabling architecture, capacity planning and a better way to manage infrastructure changes. For complex data centers, campuses and enterprise environments, accurate documentation isn't just nice to have. It becomes part of managing the infrastructure itself.
PROTECT IT. Phantom Fog adds an active response layer.
CONNECT IT. Connectix provides the physical network infrastructure.
UNDERSTAND IT. Square Mile helps document and manage what is there.
The Bottom Line
Protect it. Connect it. Understand it. Three very different technologies — but all three give Repworks integrators another way to solve a problem, differentiate their offering and bring something new to an existing customer.

DESIGN WIRE THE SPECIFIER BRIEF
Fiber SenSys SecurLAN™ Protecting the Network at Layer 1 Cybersecurity protects the data moving across a network. But what protects the physical cable carrying that data?
That's the idea behind Fiber SenSys SecurLAN — a fiber-optic intrusion detection solution designed to protect physical data networks from unauthorized access, tapping attempts and accidental intrusion. SecurLAN brings security all the way down to Layer 1 — the physical layer of the network.
LAYER 1 | PHYSICAL PATH | INTRUSION DETECTION
HOW IT WORKS SecurLAN uses fiber-optic sensing technology to monitor the physical pathway carrying network data. A dedicated or existing fiber is used as the sensor. The system's Alarm Processing Unit transmits laser light through that sensing fiber and analyzes changes in the returned signal. If someone attempts to cut, disturb or gain physical access to the protected cable or conduit, the resulting vibration creates a detectable disturbance and generates an alarm. Signal processing helps distinguish an actual intrusion attempt from environmental and nuisance vibration.
DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS ▪ Physical Layer 1 protection — adds intrusion detection to the physical network infrastructure. ▪ Multimode and single-mode options — configurations are available that can use multimode or existing single-mode fiber as the sensing element. ▪ Multiple-zone architecture — the SL504 monitors up to four sensing fibers (zones); the SL508 supports up to eight. ▪ Long sensing distances — each SL504/SL508 sensing fiber can be up to 5 km in length. ▪ System integration — 500 Series processors include relays and support XML communications for integration with head-end or annunciator systems.
MORE THAN DETECTION For higher-security applications, SecurLAN can do more than generate an alarm. Fiber SenSys offers optical cutoff switches that can be incorporated into the system to physically shut down the affected data path when an intrusion is detected — moving the response from detect to detect and deny.
SecurCommander™ can provide command-and-control functionality when used with SecurLAN sensors and cutoff switches as part of a Protected Distribution System (PDS).
WHERE DOES IT FIT? SecurLAN is particularly relevant anywhere the physical integrity of the network itself is part of the security requirement: ▪ Government and military facilities ▪ SCIFs and Protected Distribution Systems (PDS) ▪ National laboratories ▪ Data centers and data-storage facilities ▪ Banks and financial facilities ▪ Hospitals and healthcare environments ▪ Research facilities ▪ Command-and-control environments
BUILT FOR PROTECTED DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS SecurLAN is compliant for use in network Protected Distribution Systems at U.S. Government installations built in accordance with CNSSI No. 7003 and applicable Air Force, Navy and Army PDS guidance.
THE SPECIFIER TAKEAWAY Network security isn't only a cybersecurity problem. Where sensitive information travels through accessible conduits, pathways, ceilings, floors or other uncontrolled areas, the physical path carrying that information can become part of the security design. SecurLAN gives designers a way to monitor that layer — and, when required, take action when the physical network is compromised.
TECHNICAL RESOURCES Fiber SenSys Tech Tips Fiber SenSys maintains a library of technical resources covering system design, installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting. For SecurLAN specifically, its Tuning and Calibration for Alarmed Carrier PDS Tech Tip addresses configuration of the SL508 for PDS applications.
TRAINING & CERTIFICATION Fiber SenSys also offers factory and remote certification training for system integrators. Training covers fiber-optic fundamentals, installation, configuration and system operation, with lessons and laboratory work included in its certification programs. For SecurLAN applications, Fiber SenSys specifically notes that APUs should be tuned and calibrated by a trained and certified systems integrator to match the environment being protected.
The Bottom Line Physical network infrastructure can be part of the security perimeter. SecurLAN gives designers a way to detect physical intrusion at Layer 1 and, when required, deny access to the affected data path.
