Dear FCG community,

  

As the new Interim Director, I wanted to reach out. The first week of my tenure has been a radical change and I can say with the utmost confidence: I am overjoyed to be here.  

I have missed working with this gallery, and there is a sense, for me, of having come home. Though, I would like to be up-front and clear that the Interim position is a temporary one, an in-between. Because of this, I see the months to come as a long slow-motion exchange from one full Executive Director to the next. It is an opportunity for the Board of Directors and for me to infuse the gallery and its core functions with as much care and attention as possible. I am very excited! 

While the gallery is in transition and simultaneously entering the depths of the grant-writing season, I suspect I will not be as visible in the community as I would like to be, attending the openings of our local galleries and museums, or the inspiring talks of so many talented artists, or the meeting of so many minds over new and ambitious projects blossoming in our city. I hope that I am wrong about that. 

But if you are looking for me in the near future, then you can find me in the gallery.
