Question Corner: PTSA vs. ASB
|
Today's Question: What is the difference between PTSA and ASB?
Answer: PTSA stands for Parent Teacher Student Association, run by parent volunteers. ASB stands for Associated Student Body, a student group that is both run by and represents RMS students. Both PTSA and ASB rely on fundraising and your support to run their programs. They operate separately under a specific set of laws in Washington state and their funds are not commingled. Fundraising programs take place through-out the year and will be clearly categorized as PTSA or ASB.
To find out more about the different programs that are run by PTSA & ASB, visit our PTSA vs ASB webpage.Do you have questions about PTSA, school, LWSD or even City of Redmond? The RMS PTSA invites you to submit your questions to us so they can be answered! Your question (and our answer) may be posted in "Question Corner" which will appear periodically in this newsletter.
