Students Get Schooled About the Law
The preschoolers celebrated Law Enforcement Day by welcoming two deputies from the Citrus County Sheriff's Department. The officers did a great job showing the students their gear and equipment and helping them understand the important role police play in our community.

Kindergarten Circus Brings Down the House
The kindergarteners put on an amazing show in the big tent, replete with acrobats, big cats, animal trainers, tightrope walkers, clowns, strongmen, trapeze artists, and, of course, a ringmaster. Special recognition is due for the efforts of the teachers and aides who coordinate and organize this spectacular and much-anticipated annual event.

Slugs and Bugs
The Lowe family generously shared their insect collection so that the second-grade classes could enjoy examining diverse specimens up close. This was the perfect complement to our study of bugs and insects.

Let's Get Together
Mrs. Pappas small group "adopted" Mrs. Carter's second-grade class this school year as an opportunity to get to know some of the younger students. Last week they had a picnic lunch together. In the future they plan to do another picnic and to join them for a Chapel service. This experience is a great way for the younger students to connect with and learn from the upperclassmen.

Host Families Needed for International Students SRCS is in need of two host families for Chinese exchange students, Zoe and Faith, for the next school year. Both girls come from Christian families. Studying at SRCS is a priceless opportunity for them to be immersed in the English language and receive an excellent Christian education. Zoe (left) will be a senior next year. She first came to SRCS mid-10th grade. She is in the National Honor Society and her cumulative GPA is 4.02. She enjoys art, tennis, and academics. There is a possibility that Zoe will have her license and a car to provide her own transportation. She is outgoing, fun, and loves to play games. Faith will be in 10th grade next year. She came to SRCS at the start of this school year. Her cumulative GPA is 3.50, and her interests include art, tennis, and academics. Faith is quiet, independent, and likes to cook. If you are interested in hosting, you have the opportunity to meet the girls before May 18th when they return to China for the summer.
