Busy Hands and Minds

The preschoolers at SRCS don't let any grass grow under their feet! They are a busy bunch, engaging in activities designed to hone fine motor skills, foment creativity, and develop critical thinking and logic.
And to Think That We Saw It at SRCS

Kindergarten students read Dr. Seuss's classic, And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street. They crafted and decorated binoculars and went on a walk to investigate what they might see on campus. Among their imaginative discoveries: dragons, giants, kings, queens, beautiful waterfalls, beanstalks, and treasure. Just like Marco, the protagonist in Seuss's book, the students used their imaginations to turn "minnows into whales."
A Great Day for Cake

The first graders enjoyed Patricia Polacco's book, Thunder Cake, which highlights heritage, overcoming fear, and the special bond between a grandma and her granddaughter.

The students then used Polacco's recipe to make a "Thunder Cake." They were especially surprised by one ingredient rarely used in baking. To see the recipe and discover the secret ingredient, click here.
More Than What Meets the Eye

While learning about animal adaptations, third grade students used their creativity to camouflage butterflies around the classroom. Look closely to see if you can find them all!
Third Grade Leaves a Mark

Third graders have been learning about ancient civilizations. This week they wrote their name in Cuneiform by pressing a stylus into wet clay tablets just like ancient Mesopotamians did thousands of years ago. Cuneiform is recognized as the earliest documented system of writing.
For the Love of Chocolate

Fourth grade students finished reading their class novel, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, by Roald Dahl. When Dahl was attending boarding school, the famous chocolatier, Cadbury, sent products to the school for the students to test. This not only helped Dahl become a lifelong chocolate fanatic, but it became part of the inspiration for his well-loved book.

To cap off the reading achievement, the teachers surprised the students with a Wonka Candy Bar, each with a golden ticket inside!
Meet Our New Staff
Mr. Wessler - IT Administrator

We’re excited to introduce Jonathan Wessler, the full-time IT Administrator for Seven Rivers Christian School! Before joining the Seven Rivers team, Jonathan ran his own business, Florida Technology Wizards, providing onsite tech repair and support to local homes and businesses.

He’s passionate about making technology work for people and loves teaching others how to better use technology well. When he’s not solving tech puzzles, you can find him diving into a good book or conquering the board game table. At 6’6”, he’s hard to miss, but it’s his enthusiasm, not just his height, that stands tall on campus!
Mr. Frowick - Athletic Trainer

My name is Colby Frowick. I was a student at Seven Rivers from preschool until 11th grade. I played football and baseball. I’m a Clinic Director and Physical Therapist Assistant when I am not working at the school.

I have a 4-year-old son, Coe, who is a student at the preschool. We go to Disney a lot on the weekends. I also enjoy hunting and fishing.

I look forward to helping with Warrior Athletics and giving back to the school that gave so much to me.

What Does It Take to Become an SRCS Graduate?

To earn a high school diploma at Seven Rivers, students must earn a minimum number of credits: 4 credits of English, 4 credits of math (post-8th grade, to include Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II), 4 credits of science (to include Biology and an additional lab course), 4 credits of social studies (to include World History, U.S. History, U.S. Government, and Economics), 4 credits of Bible, 2 credits of foreign language, 2 credits comprised of Personal Fitness, Personal Finance, Physical Education, and a fine or performing arts course, and (beginning with the 2025-2026 incoming freshmen), 2 additional elective credits.

If you’ve been keeping score, that’s 26 total credits! At Seven Rivers, students can complete two seasons of a high school sport to satisfy their PE credit, and students who participate in one drama production will satisfy their fine arts requirement. Even though students may take more than the required minimum before their senior year, our desire is for our students to be engaged in learning the core subjects every year, continuing to shape and prepare them for their entry into the world.

GriefShare

GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone.

GriefShare seminars and support groups are led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help. You’ll gain access to valuable GriefShare resources to help you recover from loss and look forward to rebuilding your life.

You are welcome to begin attending the GriefShare group at any time. Each is “self-contained”, so you don’t have to attend in sequence. You will find encouragement and help whenever you begin. You will be able to continue with GriefShare through the next cycle and view any of the videos you have not seen.
