Our Holiday with Horses event was another highlight of the season. We loved welcoming the community to the ranch to meet our therapy animals, enjoy photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, play games, read stories, and share holiday treats. The joy and smiles throughout the day were truly unforgettable. Before the event began, we captured a group photo of the many individuals who made it possible, and that image perfectly represents the “village” behind Affinity Ranch. From our dedicated volunteers and supportive Board of Directors to our generous community partners—Greenwood Pediatrics, Sprouts, Whole Foods, and King Soopers—this event reflected the true spirit of giving in Parker, Colorado. I feel incredibly grateful to be part of such a compassionate and engaged community.
To everyone who participated in our Giving Trees, thank you. Receiving packages each day over the past few weeks has been both exciting and deeply meaningful. Because of your generosity, we begin the new year with many of our essential supplies fully stocked. Our staff and our herd are sincerely thankful for your support.
We are also excited to share a new opportunity for parents of neurodivergent children. Beginning January 12, 2026, we will offer a parent education and support series held via Zoom on Monday evenings from 7:00–8:00 pm, with the final session taking place in person to foster connection and community. These sessions will be led by Michele Portlock, who holds a master’s degree in special education, leads the Navigating the Spectrum social media platform and podcast, and serves on the Affinity Ranch Board of Directors.
