Dear Affinity Ranch Family,
Happy Fall! As the seasons change, I find myself reflecting with deep gratitude for the incredible community that surrounds Affinity Ranch. Our inaugural Ponies with Purpose Gala was a truly unforgettable evening, and it would not have been possible without each of you. From the generous donors who filled our silent auction, to the countless hours poured in by our dedicated staff, board members, and volunteers, to the amazing sponsors who made the night possible—and, of course, to all of you who joined us in person or cheered us on from afar—thank you. Your support means the world.
One of the most joyful parts of the evening was seeing everyone dressed to the nines (some of you were almost unrecognizable out of your barn boots!). Even Buttercup and Petey joined the fun, all dressed up to pose for photos with our guests. You can find the photo gallery linked in this newsletter—and if you missed this year’s celebration, we hope to welcome you next year.
Now, as we ride the momentum of the gala, our instructors and clients are preparing for another cherished tradition: our 3rd annual Mane Event. This special day is all about celebrating the progress and hard work of our incredible clients as they demonstrate their skills for friends and family. It is always one of the most inspiring and heartwarming events of the year, and we can’t wait to share it with our community once again.
Looking ahead, we are also entering the season of giving. If your company participates in Colorado Gives Day, we would love to partner with you to maximize Affinity Ranch’s impact. While our gala was a tremendous success, the costs of caring for our herd and running our life-changing programs remain significant. Every contribution helps ensure that Affinity Ranch can continue to provide transformative services and create Unbridled Possibilities for those we serve.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being part of this journey with us. Your belief in our mission keeps us moving forward, and together, we are making a difference.
With gratitude, Shannon Forslund Executive Director

Positive reinforcement is something we all seem to respond to as humans. Try to find the good and comment positively to others or yourself when you see it. You will notice that positivity will start reinforcing desirable actions around you. Try it on your pet, family and even people outside of your social circle. NICE WORK reading this!
