This Sunday evening we have another instalment of our TableTalk session with CARE NI.  We are inviting Mr. Ian Bingham to talk about Abortion(more information below) in Room 4.
"One encounter with Jesus Christ is enough to change you, instantly, forever"
Luis Palau (1934-2021)
The 31st March 2020 is a dark day in Northern Ireland’s history! On this day, The Abortion (Northern Ireland) Regulations 2020 was introduced. That meant that after nearly 160 years of protecting the lives of the unborn, the UK government decided that abortion should be legalised in this country and subsequently imposed this abortion law in Northern Ireland. Worse still, the legislation that was passed means that Northern Ireland has some of the most liberal laws on abortion in all of Europe!

In this presentation, we will unpack the history of Northern Ireland’s abortion journey and highlight what the current legislation means. We will examine the impact of this law for Christians in Northern Ireland and explore what the church can do. We will also highlight CARE’s ongoing work in this area, as well as introducing you to Open, a practical ministry of CARE which offers a pastoral response to abortion and baby loss.
Don't forget about our prayer meeting before worship and our time for coffee after the service.
NEXT SUNDAY
Worship continues on the 1st Feburary both at 11am and 7pm.
Morning Worship as normal with Rev. Dr. Colin McClure and In the evening we will begin our series called 'Jesus the Game Changer.

Prayer meeting, Kids church, Creche facilities and refreshments also continue.
First Larne Men’s Fellowship
invites you to a Strongman Evening!
Open to men and nearly men (boys), this night will feature weightlifting demonstrations, the chance to test your own strength (under supervision!), and plenty of laughs.

Come and hear how God has been at work in the lives of some impressively muscled men — proving that faith builds far more than just biceps. Add in good food and good company, and you’ve got all the ingredients for an evening of great craic.

First Larne Points for PRAYER

  • "I pray that your partnership with us in the faith may be effective in deepening your understanding of every good thing we share for the sake of Christ." Philemon 6
  • Father at the end of this week of Prayer for Christian Unity, we ask that we will be more concerned about what unites us as Christians, and knowing what needs not divide us.
  • As we share the faith with other faithful brothers and sisters may we deepen in our knowledge and therefore love of you.
  • May we in all things 'Seek first the Kingdom of God'.
Pray for Zaro.
Join with members of Zaro congregation in Malawi, giving thanks that the rains have come and that food crops are growing again.
Ask God to be with them as they worship sheltering under the trees.
They are praying for a roof for their new church building and are grateful that our congregation has offered to help with this.
Watch out for more details over the next few weeks.
