Welcome to this week's run down of upcoming events, prayers and upcoming services.

It's officially that time of year when calendars are a little emptier, inboxes are a little quieter, and there's a good chance someone reading this is doing so with an ice cream in hand! While it's been a fairly peaceful week here, there's still a few things to share, so grab a cuppa and enjoy this week's update.

As it IS quieter I have a short survey for you all - over 300 people completing should generate so work for me so do make me work for YOU.

Breathing Space

Saturday 8th August

St James Church, Weethley

Breathing Space will be held on the second Saturday in August due to events and holidays.

We hope you can join us!

St Nicholas Church Gardening Team

St Nicholas church is so thankful to the wonderful gardening team who look after our churchyard and keep it looking beautiful.

The team are now looking for more volunteers to help with the gardening, those who like weeding and especially anyone who might be interested in mowing the grass.

Our existing volunteer mower is stopping next year so we will be looking for someone – or a team – to pick up the grass cutting from March 2027. This team is open to anyone in the community who would like to help keep our churchyard trim.

The Diocese - thanking God for the recent new appointments, including Revd Canon Andrew Dodd as the new Dean of the Cathedral, and praying for those still discerning the other vacant posts.
Give thanks to God for our beautiful church buildings as a focus for our worship. Please pray for those that are undergoing works to maintain and refresh them.
