A few weeks ago, I received a wonderfully kind email from a camper sharing the impact that camp had on their life: “I have established long-lasting friendships and memories that I will forever cherish. I’m glad that we have a place where everyone can be who they truly are.”
This small glimpse into the real-world impacts of why camp matters should be encouragement for us all. The work of building community makes a meaningful difference in individual lives and has a profound positive impact that ripples out into the world.
On behalf of this summer camper —and so many like her —I am grateful for each of you in our BCC family: donors, program participants, staff alumni, former campers, future camper families, prayerful supporters, and everyone in between. As we shift the stories of 2025 to the past tense and prepare for the opportunities of 2026, thank you!
