As we welcome April, we find ourselves especially mindful of the changing seasons. After an unusually dry winter, we are hopeful that spring will bring much-needed moisture to our region. While I typically gravitate toward sunny skies, this year I find myself genuinely grateful for every cloud and hopeful for the rain that helps protect our land and community.
I am deeply grateful to share, that thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, we have been able to secure a significant supply of hay for the months ahead. This gift not only helps stabilize a critical resource during a time of uncertainty, but also ensures that we can continue to provide the highest level of care for our incredible herd. To all of you who support this work—whether through time, resources, or financial gifts—please know how much your generosity means. You make Unbridled Possibilities a reality each and every day.
We are also excitedly preparing for our 2nd Annual Ponies with Purpose Gala, which will be held on September 10th at the beautiful Sanctuary Golf Course. We are incredibly grateful to the Sanctuary for their partnership and support. This event is a powerful reflection of what can happen when a community comes together around a shared purpose.
As we begin planning, we are seeking sponsors, live and silent auction items, and individuals interested in joining our gala committee. If you or someone you know would like to be involved, we would truly love to connect. Meaningful auction items might include travel experiences (such as airline tickets or vacation stays), unique experiences (concerts, sporting events, golf packages, or private dinners), or thoughtfully curated items like boutique shopping, spa packages, wine tastings, or luxury goods. The most impactful items are often those that offer a unique or memorable experience.
If you are interested in contributing, helping secure donations, or getting involved in planning, please reach out to us at fundraising@affinityranch.org. Your involvement makes a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.
Wishing you all a wonderful April—and yes, a rainy one. I look forward to seeing the ranch and our garden come to life again in the weeks ahead.
