Hard to point this out to patients in clinic.
I want to my clinics to be collaborative..
And pointing out inconsistency is a bit 'lecture-y' 😕
Whether that's for the..
70yr old woman who's stopped cycling, + now has pain, or
Mid 50s gent, had a tough 6 months, hasn't been out much, + pain or
Late 30s former athlete, now just does weights and 'lives with his knee pain'
I want to spell it out to them that they had no (or v little) pain when they were consistently active. AND I try to frame it about their hip or knee pain. BUT it can across as a bit judgemental. It can sound like I'm saying 'You're LAZY!'
I'm not..
Staying active can be hard,
Especially without the right information
In short, I haven't yet cracked how to talk about this one. So.. perhaps 400+ people reading this can help me to refine the message..?!
