A brief look back over the month just gone, and what’s on the horizon…

Upcoming Exhibition: Gresham Wooden Horse
Gresham Wooden Horse is an art project co-created over several years by artist Isabel Lima with residents and community stakeholders in the neighbourhood of Gresham, Middlesbrough.

In choosing to bring a neighbourhood project into the space of the gallery, Lima invites a wider audience to step into a re-enactment of Gresham Wooden Horse and inspire conversation around the complexities of place-based work and what it might mean to do socially engaged practice in a neighbourhood, like Gresham.

The exhibition preview at Newcastle Contemporary Art will be held on Thursday 17th November between 5pm and 9pm.

Meeting Room Revamp

Time for a refresh! The High Bridge Works meeting room was overdue a bit of love.
We have selected luscious plants, vibrant feature walls and all new furniture designed and made by Deadgood to give the space a warm and energetic feel.

The room now also features artworks by studio holders Mark Rogerson and Bobzilla, as well as Will Barras pieces sourced from Unit 44. We’re sure our studio holders will enjoy getting their innovative minds to work in this newly revamped space!
