The 2026 ski season is almost here. Charlotte Pass opens on 20 June, and the Guthries Double Chair - three years in the making - is finally operational. The lodge is in good shape after a productive working bee and several major infrastructure upgrades. Here is what is in this edition.
Availability - Book Now We have spots open in early season (21 June - 5 July) and late season (30 August - 13 September), both with full any-cause refunds. Book with confidence and cancel for free if conditions don't suit.
Guthries Double Chair is open - access to advanced terrain significantly improved for Winter 2026.
New race coaching program at Charlotte Pass - four-day program for confident skiers, $849 per person. Set dates 21-24 July and 11-14 August, or any week with 3+ participants.
Lodge upgrades complete - new hot water system (12 tanks replaced), new commercial fridges and freezers, and Stage 1 fire safety works finished and certified.
Stage 2 refurbishment underway - DA approved, architect engaged for Construction Certificate. We are seeking builder quotes and welcome any introductions.
Board changes - Jon Barber will step down as President at the 2026 AGM. Nominations will be called later in the year.
By-law updates - changes to storage, refund, and membership policies. Full details in the newsletter.
