I've had a voracious appetite for doing theater since jr. high school, so when I landed in NYC in the early 90s, I said yes to every theater gig I could.
I signed my first Actors' Equity contract in 1991 and joined an awesome ensemble that was doing two plays written by a stellar human being who had been a teacher of mine at Shaker Heights High School, Vince Cardinal.
The shows were designed to support The Street Theatre's ABC+ Program. In the program, we teaching artists used nursery rhymes and acting games to promote letter and word recognition among Pre-K, K, and 1st graders in Yonkers. |

From 1995 to 2005, I was a member of or did multiple shows with Imua! Theatre Company, Circle Rep Lab/Circle East, Just Once A Month, Kathryn Markey's Group, LAByrinth Theater Company, The Verse Circus, Inverse Theater Company, The Individual Theater Company, Ernie McClintock's Jazz Actors, Blackberry Productions, and Mass Transit Street Theater.
I love that every one of those companies worked either primarily or exclusively with new plays!

This is sirobosi frawstakwa, founder and producer of the performance series variety: LIVE… He launched this series to provide an outlet for performers as well as attendees, a place for arts & entertainment uptown, serving Washington Heights, Inwood, Harlem, and The Bronx… while many of our acts are local, they are also frequented by performers you may know from tv, movie, and/or radio spots.
