Countdown to World Teachers' Day in NSW
World Teachers’ Day in NSW is coming up on Friday 31 October. We’re calling on the community to recognise their “NSW Teaching Gems” on our interactive map.
We’ve received 3,522 heartfelt messages for our teachers and educators so far. Shoutout to Penrith Selective High School, Camden High School and St. Agnes Catholic High School, who currently have some of the highest numbers of teaching gems on the Map!
We know there are so many more teaching gems in our NSW school communities, and there's plenty of time to let us know who they are!
Our celebration kit has everything you need to celebrate World Teachers’ Day with us: Pop our posters up around your school/service and get family and friends to participate.
Search the map for messages for your teachers. Read them out at assembly or hand them out in the staff room.
Share the map in your newsletter and social media channels.
Shout out your “gems” on social media using #WTD2025 and #NSWTeachingGems.
Follow us on Instagram and LinkedIn, where we are sharing student messages from schools right across NSW.
