How goes it? Well, it still goes...

And you know what else goes? The wheels of a bike...yes, according to Statista, when the pandemic hit, forcing gyms to shutter and public transportation to suspend operation, millions of Americans re-discovered bicycles as a safe, socially-distanced form of physical exercise and transportation. According to inflation-adjusted figures published by the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis, Americans spent $6.9 billion on bicycles and accessories in 2020, up from $6.1 billion the year before. The trend has continued throughout 2021.

Speaking of revisiting past pleasures and giving them a resurgence, we re-watched the action-adventure classic 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' which was like going on a treasure hunt all over again – and then we read a beautiful article by The Ringer paying homage to its 40th year of existence. Skip down to 'Diversions' to get stuck into some riveting reading.

Last weekend our Communications Director, Georgie Bradley, conducted a training on crisis advocacy for women victims of domestic and sexual violence. Pretty hard-hitting stuff. More on that below.

And finally, is it just us or is everyone heading to the Greek isles this summer? We thank Greece in advance for being wide open for us to have a bit of normality in our summer!

We return to our best loved tool in our arsenal: CAST (Commercial Analysis Software Tool). With our CAST system, we can track causation and the ‘why’ of consumer behavior and influence and track that behavior with a 90% predictive forecasting rate.

This helps us give C-suite and stakeholders effective and tested new strategies (not just for marketing and sales efforts but full business strategies) and we can help with the implementation of that strategy to include full monitoring of the implementation to include KPI’s, KRI’s and MOE’s (Measures of Effect) and MOP’s (Measures of Performance) in real time.

How Everyone Can Be An Advocate


In case you didn't know, our Communications Director, Georgie Bradley, is a crisis counsellor for women victims of domestic and sexual violence. Having trained with Shamsaha in Bahrain – the Middle East’s first crisis response program – she has been on hospital and hotline duty and has also delivered numerous public engagement workshops to raise awareness on gender dynamics across all areas of life in Bahrain and across the Gulf region.

During her time in Bahrain she became a program assistant, developing training manuals as well as program protocols and assisted with some grant writing. As an ongoing consultant trainer, she regularly trains new advocates for Shamsaha on sexual assault, subconscious bias and understanding trauma in the context of domestic and sexual violence.

We're sharing compiled clips of the most recent training she delivered using Shamsaha's rape and violence crisis response material and curriculum. She discusses how to care for specific populations where there are particular vulnerabilities, why women stay in abusive relationships and when should we call someone a victim or a survivor?
