MOD Pizza Fundraiser Raised $300+

RMS families, thank you so much for coming out and supporting the PTSA at MOD Pizza last week! You've helped raise over $300 for the students of RMS! You are supporting scholarships, activities, parent education, students-in-need, staff appreciation events, testing snacks, and much more!

Volunteers Needed for Health Screening Day

Please help RMS with "Health and Vision Screening" Day on Tuesday, October 12 to help check health for all RMS students! Training for the equipment will be provided in the first 30 minutes of each shift by district nursing staff for all volunteers. Please remember that you must be an APPROVED LWSD Volunteer. COVID protocols will require volunteers to sign a waiver and will need to wear a mask at all times. Please review the Signup Genius and click on the button to sign up for any slots. Call for Robotics Chairperson

RMS PTSA already has the materials, 6-7 boxes of robotic parts! We just need you to be the next chairperson to run this club! Hurry, deadlines for registering for competitions are coming up very quickly. If your student is interested in building robotics for the VEX competitions, contact us soon at [email protected] to volunteer and reactivate the club for this year!

Math Club Registration is Open! (Repeat)

The Math Club provides regular in-depth coaching sessions covering the broad spectrum of middle school math topics. It also coordinates school participation in local and national competitions.

Please note that the club will not be supporting November's AMC 10A or 10B exams. Students wishing to take these to qualify for the AIME should make plans with a 3rd party testing provider.

School & LWSD

LWSD Volunteer Vaccine Requirement

As of October 18, volunteers in schools will have to be vaccinated. There are now two ways for volunteers to show proof of vaccination. In person and Remote through Microsoft Teams. These will be available until at least October 18, 2021. For more information on how to show proof of vaccination, visit https://www.lwsd.org/get-involved/volunteering-in-lwsd.

Important RMS Dates

No School on October 15
There is no school on Friday, October 15 due to LWSD Teacher LEAP day. LEAP and other dates can be found on the LWSD 2021-2022 District Calendar.

Updated Picture Makeup Day
For those students who missed Picture Day or need retakes, RMS Picture Makeup day is Friday, October 22.
