Get Ready to Teach New K-6 Syllabuses in 2027
The remaining suite of K–6 syllabuses will be implemented in 2027:
Teaching advice is available on the NSW Curriculum website and includes:
supporting language and vocabulary development
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Priorities
making connections through related content
subject-specific information to assist teachers in implementing the syllabuses.
Additional resources including sample scope and sequences, whole school planning, professional learning, bibliographies and parent guides are also available on the NSW Curriculum website.
What's New
Implementing Technology 7–8
The Technology Mandatory 7–8 syllabus (2017) will be removed from the NSW Curriculum website at the end of 2027.
By 2028 schools must be implementing the new Technology 7–8 (2023) syllabus. NESA has released a range of support materials to help with implementation including:

Reminder to non-government schools of the due date for annual reports
All non-government schools are required to produce, publicly disclose and submit their 2025 annual report on RANGS Online by Tuesday 30 June.
Reports must include links to the school’s publicly available policies for child protection, anti-bullying, discipline, managing complaints and enrolments.
