Welcome to the January bulletin.

The new year is upon us which means that all active members need to renew their membership subscriptions for 2026. All paying memberships expired at the end of December and will need to be renewed by 31st January 2026 at the latest. Any memberships which are not renewed during that time will expire and those affected will need to reapply for membership (which if successful, will include repayment of the joining fee).

A word from our Chairman

Welcome to 2026. I would like to wish you and your family a very happy new year, and I look forward to see you all throughout the year ahead. Many thanks to everyone who bought tickets in our Christmas draw and meat raffles, and congratulations to Tim Grindley for winning the top prize of £500. Regards, Niall.

Club matters

Membership renewals

As stated above, all active memberships will need to be renewed by 31st January 2026. Any member who fails to pay their membership subscriptions by this date will need to reapply for membership. Membership payments may be made at the bar using cash or by card, and the price for renewal is £30.

Discount points

All members are reminded that as of January 1st, all remaining discount points which have been accrued against your membership cards have been reset to zero. Accrual of discount points has now restarted for the new year.

Club treasurer vacancy

We are continuing to search for a new Club Treasurer. If you know of anyone with suitable financial experience who would be interested in taking on this role, please send a message to the Club's email address info@thebroadwayclub.co.uk or speak to one of the Committee.

New memberships window now open

We are now taking new membership applications. If you know anybody who is interested in joining the Club, forms are available behind the bar. The new membership window will be open until the end of January, after which no new memberships will be processed until the second window later in the year.

At the Club this month

Bingo night

Join us on 24th January for another Broadway classic bingo night.

Food orders must be paid for by Wednesday 21st January as the order goes in on Friday morning. If you wish to play but don’t want food, you will be charged a refundable £5 deposit per person to secure your seats.

Please come up the club and put your name forward on the list found on the noticeboard to secure your slot and your food if you’re eating. We look forward to seeing you and may the luck be in your favour.

Note that the Bingo is now limited to 60 people, so get your name down early to secure your place.

Annual darts competition

The now legendary Broadway annual knockout darts tournament takes place on Saturday 31st January. Entries for the singles and doubles are now limited, so sign up on the main notice board as soon as possible. There will four boards in use, each with electronic scoreboards and cash prizes will be available.

Entries are £5 for the singles & doubles competitions.

The competition is open to all members and their partners

Meat raffle

Don't forget about our meat raffle, which takes place on Friday 30th January between 9pm and 10pm with some great prizes to be won. Tickets are available at the bar, payable in cash.

Club competitions

The annual snooker competition has concluded with the winners for both the singles and doubles competitions having been decided last month. The singles final winner was Martyn Brown and the doubles final winners were David Homersham and Jim Dunlop. Thank you to everybody who participated. Signups for the 2026 competition will start at the end of April.
