HCC is proud to offer youth mental health first aid training taught by certified trainers, Kelly Clements, MPH, and Emily Zanleoni, LCMHC, NCC. 

Why should you sign up? 
Today, 1 in 5 adolescents will experience a mental health issue. 75% of mental health disorders begin by the age of 24. Despite the prevalence of mental health disorders, only 7% of youth receive screening or treatment. 

Trainees will receive a 3-year certification to become a first aider to recognize signs and help refer to professionals.

The VCHIP Youth Non-Vaping Team is excited to launch a new website on vaping that can be shared with students and their families. 

The YEP!Vermont website is unique and provides:
·Factual information on vaping products containing nicotine, as well as cannabis and the newer non-nicotine "herbal" and "vitamin" vapes
·Quitting resources for students, and for parents who want to be supportive, and
·Information on adolescent brain development and addiction.

All Vermonters aged 12+, part-time Vermont residents, and out-of-state VT college students are eligible for vaccination.
