Yesterday the UK and EU agreed a trade deal, meaning UK businesses can trade with the EU tarriff free. Local MP's have welcomed this all agreeing that they are delighted with the announcement.In pub news, the Salopian on Smithfield Road has had plans for them to expand agreed by planners. The owners say this is required for them to adhere to social distancing rules and also flood-proof the premise as they still haven't opened yet after the floods in February. Also on the other side of the scale, the rock and fountain has been forced to close after it was found they were
not adhereing to social distancing rules and were allowing multiple households to mix. They will be closed until at least 11 January 2021.
A man in his 80's has been
hit by a van on Mount Pleasant road by a Citroen Luton van. Police are seeking witnesses. Anyone with information
